I have been re- reading some of your travelers tales and find then still so moving and interesting. your house looks so luxurious and inviting , pity about the cost of air fares, however as September draws nigh ,I don’t wish to hurry your last experience of Granada but CAN’T WAIT TO SEE YOU AGAIN!!! You will find it such a culture shock even though on familiar ground. Looking forward to seeing you both so much. Keep blogging we all love it so. Much Love Mum

What a wonderful blog Jana. You look so well and your house and little cats are gorgeous. I’ve just read your note to say that you’ll be back in the UK from September the 5th for a few weeks. We must meet up before you go to Spain if you can. I know you’ll be trying to fit in seeing so many people but I really hope we can see you and Luke for an evening over some nice food and a few drinks. We have sooooooo much to catch up on! Aha! Very good, thanks Jana. Hope all your German readers can enjoy that as well. 4 bathrooms does sound very grand and the verandah looks fabulous. Sorry I won’t be seeing it for real but looking forward to seeing you both again although in Europe. Oddly enough, I may be in Spain when you get back to the UK. Am planning a couple of weeks in September at a bunkhouse near Alicante walking, climbing and getting a tan.

Nice to see what Odysseus looked like. Luke, your face is a picture of mixed cat emotions! I will reply to your interesting tales of grout and lightbulbs soon.

Went past Blenheim square this afternoon as we went to some student shows in Leeds. Very thin and self-obsessed. Everybody wants to be Tracey or Damian and so hardly dare show anything it seems. Well up their bottoms sadly. Good opening at Dean Clough though.

An exhibition on loan from the Tate complete with an avant garde German pianist giving Ernest’s grand piano some real stick. Giant skeletal Mickey Mouse and machine gun, highly polished. Send you a pic (I have a new camera that also makes movies in stereo).

There was also a biggish exhibition of photos of Downe”s Syndrome children. Very moving, funny, human - you would have liked it a lot Jana I think.

Euch geht es ja super gut dort. Man kann mal wieder neidisch werden. Auch die Katzen sind total niedlich und wie klein…. Freue mich schon auf September, Oma sagt, da seid ihr in Hamburg. Passt gut auf euch auf.
